Through deep breathing, mindfulness, yoga postures, games, and guided relaxation, you’ll discover effective ways to soothe and regulate your nervous system while staying active—no need to sit still for long periods! Together, we’ll build a toolkit for stress relief that you can use anytime. No prior experience is needed—come as you are and let’s have some fun together!

Julie founded Roots Up to empower children with effective self-soothing tools. With a passion for equitable emotional regulation strategies, she believes every child deserves access to these important skills. For nearly 20 years, Julie has taught soothing techniques in schools and youth organizations, positively impacting more than 10,000 children. She collaborates with social workers, therapists, researchers, and educators to develop content that is both evidence-based and playful, ensuring that all children—including those with diverse learning needs—feel valued and empowered as they learn these essential tools.
